What will I learn during the "Hold Me Tight" weekend?

Identify your own "negative cycle" and discover what the two of you are really trying to say to each other
  • Explore your feelings and the needs or longings  underneath your behaviors
  • Deepen both emotional and physical intimacy
  • Begin to repair and forgive old emotional wounds
  • Discover emotional connection that can keep your love alive and well in the future

Who does the program help?

Hold Me Tight benefits all couples who are wanting to improve their relationship, including couples who are dating, married, cohabiting, or premarital. If your relationship is experiencing severe levels of distress, couples therapy is recommended before coming to the Hold Me Tight weekend. Contact Julie for a free consultation if you are not sure.

What are the hours?

Hold Me Tight begins on a Friday evening 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. We return on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with an hour break for lunch. Sunday hours are 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Coffee/Tea and light snacks are provided. Couples may choose to go home at the end of each session, or book a local hotel for a real "getaway" weekend.

What material will be covered?

Based on Sue Johnson’s Book, Hold Me Tight: Seven Conversations for a Lifetime of Love. Sue is the creator of Emotional Focused Couples Therapy, which is now research proven to be the leading theory for couples therapy.
